AUSTRALIAN VETERANS’ VIETNAM RECONSTRUCTION GROUP INC.

Incorporated in Queensland – ABN 81-792-883-069

Dear Member,

The Australian Veterans Vietnam Reconstruction Group (AVVRG) is a voluntary Non-Government Organisation (NGO), registered and licensed to provide humanitarian assistance and poverty alleviation in Vietnam.

Since 1990, the AVVRG has been responsible for the delivery of environmental, medical and welfare services to the impoverished population in Vietnam, initially within the province of Ba Ria; the former military operations area of the 1st Australian Task Force during the Vietnam war era and now in the Ho Chi Minh City area.

The AVVRG is held in high regard by the People’s Committee of the Ba Ria/Vung Tau Province and the Union of Friendship Organisation and also enjoys a close working relationship with in-country representatives from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Australian Embassy. The AVVRG have accepted responsibility for the maintenance of the Long Tan Cross on behalf of the Long Tan Veterans and the RAR Association.

To continue to supply this much needed aid to the people of Vietnam, the AVVRG requires financial support from the Veteran community and the general public. I encourage you to visit our website at www.avvrg.org and view our past achievements.

I look forward to your support.

Yours faithfully,

Kevin Erwin, JP (Qual)
President AVVRG
