Learmonth

 

 

Those following the campaign associated with stopping the proposed re-naming of Learmonth airport will be pleased to know that the biography of Charles Learmonth has finally been launched.

 

It is hoped that this book will assist the campaign by making the Learmonth story better known.

 

The book is extensively researched, written in a very readable style, and well illustrated. It has received excellent reviews. I hope that you will enjoy reading this book, as much as I enjoyed writing it.

A blind man and his guide dog enter a bar and find their way to a bar stool. After ordering a drink and sitting there for a while, the blind bloke yells to the bartender, "Hey, you wonna hear a blonde joke?"

The bar immediately becomes absolutely quiet. In a husky, deep voice, the woman next to him says, "Before you tell that joke, you should know something. The bartender is blonde, the bouncer is blonde and I'm a 6' tall, 120KG. blonde with a black belt in karate. What's more, the woman sitting next to me is blonde and she's a weight lifter. The lady to your right is a blonde, and she's a pro wrestler. Think about it seriously, Mister. You still wanna tell that joke ?"

The blind guy thinks a moment and says, "Nah, not if I'm gunna have to explain it five times."

We came across this photo of a helicopter all decked out in SAR livery with the initials RAAF on the side.

Does anyone know anything about it??
